Winter Snowshoe Trekking

For the 2014/15 Winter season 'Tough Mountain' is returning to the northern Dolomite's Val Pusteria valley. This high level valley offers excellent oppotunities for snowshoeing from the front door of the hotel and also includes ascents of some of the summits bordering neighbouring Austria.

The vast forest area's also offer many opportunities to experience winter nature off the beaten track in the local forests.  Places that you may have visited in the Summer take on a whole new perspective in winter. The snow covered pines transform the scenery. The silence of winter, as you make your way through the fresh snow, provides an experience of isolation and feels magical.

No prior experience is necessary - A day out snow shoeing can be a pleasant stroll to take in the Alpine scenery or a chance to race and have fun! If you are looking to 'bag' a summit we can do that as well!
